Dr. Glen Doyon, of the Center for Microsurgical Endodontics in Scottsdale, Arizona describes the root canal procedure as the first treatment option for a damaged tooth. As blood vessels and nerves have no function after a tooth is made, there are times when this does cause a problem and when it does, the inside of the tooth needs to be cleaned out of damaged tissue. Root canal is the preferred treatment, as saving the tooth is always best. Sometimes, however, a tooth implant is a better option when the tooth cannot be saved. Dr. Doyon performs both procedures and in doing so, confidently makes the appropriate determination as to course of treatment for the patient.

Dr. Doyon is a leading expert and a member of the Arizona Dental Directory. Visit his website for more information at www.cmsendo.com and www.dentistnewsnetwork.com.
